Our focus on diagnostic, procedural and technical skills is reflected in both our didactic and clinical experiences.
Residents have the opportunity to work on the inpatient service and in The University of Texas outpatient clinics. These clinical and teaching experiences occur on site at Memorial Hermann Hospital, Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Shriners Hospital for Children and various outpatient clinics in these hospitals. In addition to these experiences, residents have the opportunity to work with experienced pediatric neurologists at The University of Texas Professional Building, including the UT Physicians Clinic, where they will evaluate children and adolescents with neurological problems.
Residents have their own continuity clinic schedule at the UT Physicians Clinic. Pediatric neurologists completing the program will be eligible for certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with added qualifications in Pediatric Neurology and also the American Board of Pediatrics.
