Welcome to the Division of Pediatric Cardiology webpage. The Division is dedicated to provide state-of-the-art medical care to the fetus, neonates, and children with congenital and acquired heart disease; impart education to medical students, residents, fellows and community physicians; and pursue research related to pediatric cardiac issues.
Program Overview, Target Audience and Objectives
This conference will provide the healthcare professional with an overview of current and changing concepts in the care of children with cardiovascular problems. The activity has been designed for pediatricians, neonatologists, family practitioners, nurses and medical assistants. At the completion of this conference, participants will be better able to:
- Recognize and diagnose cardiac problems in the pediatric patient
- Incorporate guidelines for more effective private -practice management of the pediatric patient with heart disease
- Identify available alternatives in the treatment of congenital and acquired heart disease in infants and children
